Back Road Ale
Back Road Brewery`s flagship beer, and first original recipe of 1997, is also
our house beer. This mildly hopped copper colored brew has a rich smooth
taste. Hop varieties such as Styrian Goldings and English Fuggles are used
to balance the beers maltiness. A technique called dry hopping is used
after fermentation to add fresh herbal aroma. It is a great session beer
and was made to satisfy a wide variety of palates. Drink and enjoy LaPorte
County`s first production craft beer. 5% ABV
This beer is available year round.

Belle Gunness Stout
A notorious drink that`s as dark as its` namesakes history!!
It is named after the infamous LaPorte, Indiana serial killer herself, Belle
Gunness of 1908. This Irish-style dry stout is amazingly smooth to
drink. You will taste chocolate, coffee and roasty flavors in every
sip. Don`t be afraid of the dark. A true dark beer lover would die
to try it. It definitely would not kill you to dig some up. 5%
ABV
This beer is available year round.

American Pale Ale
If you are looking for a straight shooting quaffable beer with
plenty of hops, this is it. Straw colored from plump North American 2-row
malted barley and deliciously hopped with Cascades from the USA, any patriot can
enjoy this beer. Cascade hops have a pleasant taste and fresh smell best
described as florally or mildly citrusy. A nice balance is struck between
the malt and hops. So how about it Yank? Put that capitalism to work
and buy some today! 5% ABV

Midwest IPA
It means India Pale Ale. It's all about the hops on this
one. Brewers use hops to add bitterness and aroma to their beers. If
not for hops your beer would be too sweet. Our IPA uses plenty of Chinook
and Columbus hops from the Pacific Northwest. The flavor can best be
described as strong resiny grapefruit. The long drawn out hop flavor is
essential to the character of the beer. So smack your buds on this one all
you HOP HEADS. 7.2% ABV
This beer is available year round.

Maple City Gold No, there is no maple flavor here, just a
great beer with a good name. LaPorte, Indiana is known as the "Maple City"
because of its trees. This German style Oktoberfest lager beer has a
golden copper color and intense malty flavor. We make this beer 4
times a year, but it is hard to find because it goes so fast. Give it a
try and you may find it worthy of the gold.... or at least another round. 7.2 ABV

No. Nine Barleywine-Style Ale
It is not a wine. This is a unique
style of ale. When a beer reaches 9% ABV it deserves much more
respect. Originally our 9th recipe at 9% in 1997, the name was a fitting
match. Over the years this beer has achieved a "cult like"
following. It is brewed only in the Fall. Pick some up
and relax with a little by the fire. It also stores great in the cellar
for years. 9.1% ABV

Blueberry Ale No, this is not a juice and it`s not blue! It`s a great tasting BEER that put Back Road Brewery on the beer map. Inspired by a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, this became our second orginal recipe in 1997. The nose picks up the aroma of fresh blueberries, but the mouth tastes an English-style pale ale. Blueberries dance around in your mouth at the finish. Give it a try; you won`t be singing the blues! 5% ABV This beer is available Memorial Day thru Labor Day in bottles. Available year round in kegs.

Belgian-Style Wit
Belgian-style beers have become popular with craft beer drinkers
because of their dynamic offbeat flavors. They can range from fruity to
tangy tart in one sip. Our Belgian-style wit (white) has pilzen malt as
well as malted and unmalted wheat to produce that classic hazzy canary colors
and soft palate. Corriander (seed of cilantro) and orange peel are used in
the brewing process to develop a delicious taste best described as citrus/celery
like. This beer drinks easy and finishes with a refreshing tartness.
5.5% ABV
It is available June thru September.

Autumn Ale
Our Autumn Ale 2009 is a pumpkin ale. Real pumpkins
as well as cinnamon sticks, allspice and nutmeg were incorporated into this rich
malty brew. What I like about this beer is that you can actually taste the
pumpkin. Also, the spices are not over powering. The balance between
all the flavors really works. 6.3% abv
